Intro — Dark Love / No More Fairytale Taking
She used to believe love meant offering pieces of herself until there was nothing left. The old stories taught her that devotion was measured in sacrifice, that the heroine survives by giving, not by wanting. But the era of fairytale taking is finished. These poems mark the shift — the moment the protagonist stops bleeding for someone else and chooses the only love that never asks for her ruin: her own.
The Era of No More Sacrifice
How do you know that love is real. Not by the old myth — the one where you give everything to prove you’re worthy.
I’ve done that. Brilliant career in one hand, My heart in the other, walking myself to the slaughter thinking it meant devotion.
But times changed. We learned the cost. We learned who benefits when we bleed to keep the peace.
Love is not the test of how much of yourself you can lose. Love is what remains when you refuse to disappear.
The sacrificer will always ask for more. The self‑lover finally says no.
Real love doesn’t demand the knife. Real love doesn’t take the last piece of you. Real love stands beside you without asking for your ruin.
